I think these shallow circular ponds, usually on the top of hills, were built to provide a source of water for livestock Dave. They are filled by rainwater, not by dew!

Great compo. You took this wonderful photo of an "eye-mirror"and around it plays all the compo. Perfect simmetry and balance between left-right/under-above.
