Frosty morning

by WaypointCharlie

Ickworth Park on Sunday morning. You can spot a couple of planes making their descent into Stansted.

Taken with the nice Pentax 12-24mm at 24mm (not its best end).

Yes, it just shows how much dynamic range can be extracted from a single shot when you have 14-bit sensor data. Using 1/5000th meant I didn't have to stop down excessively to capture that starburst. I can't be fussed with bracketed HDR (especially when hand held) and only had a 10-stop Hitech filter on me, which I don't like much because of the blue colour cast.
