Painted green

Photo Information
This caught my eye at a church in the Yorkshire Dales, the sun was beaming through the door. Wonder how many layers/years of green paint is on there?

You've been taking lessons from Andrew!
It would be like counting the rings of a fallen tree.
Nice.

I was just thinking to say the same thing about those layers of green paint, then I read your info. Your photo reveals that fact about the layers so well. I like the photo for the depiction of the oil paint with the shine and the latch. As Paul says,it's nice and clear!
