Resurgence

Resurgence

Photo Information
“Veil after veil of thin dusky gauze is lifted, and by degrees the forms and colours of things are restored to them, and we watch the dawn remaking the world in its antique pattern.”
Oscar Wilde

Dawn light before sunrise adds colour to the skies above the inverted cloud base - created by the night’s cool katabatic breezes descending from the Dartmoor and South Hams hill ranges.

Beara Common is the hill in the middle distance on the southern edge of the moor, flanked by Brent Moor, Ugborough Moor, Harford Moor and Dean Moor which form the catchment area of the River Avon (also known as The Aune)
