Radiant Bliss - Photo Impressionism #1

Photo Information
Was shooting an outdoor wedding in a pine wood forest and wanted to use natural lighting as much as possible. To facilitate shooting in existing lighting I used high ISO's, wide apertures and slow shudder speeds. Though managing to get some great in focus shots, a number of shots were of course blurred, hence resulting in takes like this one.

The 'zoominess' effect here (movement blur from me moving a tad while taking the photo) and graininess ( from using a very high ISO) are both from in camera, not PP. Only PP was minor adjustments to light and contrast. Though not your perfect traditional wedding portrait, I thought it a fun photo resembling Impressionism Art.

One photo in a series I will be posting.

What Are the Key Characteristics of Impressionism?
Light and its reflection.
Quickly painted surfaces (or the appearance of quickly painted surfaces).
Dots, dashes, commas and other short brushstrokes.
Separating colors and letting the eye's perception mix them.
Modern life as the subject matter.

FYI: The young bride here is the same young lady posing in my personal gallery photo titled 'Fairies Among Us' which pictures a young child with wings. It was taken in 2004 at which time she was about 12 years old. What a joy for me it was to photograph her wedding day!

I like the effect.. and as you say a bit of fun. The bride and groom still look recognisable as well which must be a bonus.

Fab effect (or not effect), worked out well and a different aspect on the normally staid wedding pics, the couple should be pleased!
Kind regards Maria

Certainly a different approach Donna - hope the bride and groom liked it!

Thanks everyone for stopping by to comment. The couple is on their honeymoon and haven't seen the pictures yet. I was not the paid photographer for their wedding, but was shooting as a friend which allowed me to play around a bit not having the stress of getting the perfect in focus shots every scenario.
Cheers...Donna 😊

Nicely crafted and visually stimulating, The color is pastel (in fashion this summer) perfect. Lots going on here. All very exciting. Congratulations to the bride and groom and to your creativity, - T
