The Dew Pond

Dew Ponds are a feature of the landscape in certain parts of Derbyshire. They were constructed originally of crushed chalk, or clay and sometimes mixed with soot to deter earthworms which would have made the ponds porous. Some have become naturalised and are a haven for wildlife such as Great Crested Newts. This one is nestled in the hills above Ashford-in-the-Water, near to Bakewell.

I love the ring of water reflecting the cloud. Good mono conversion.
