Ruins

More experiments with the IR filter, this one is not a monochrome image but the colour was so odd that I've had to tone it down and soften the effect. Also, the colours were not uniform across the frame so I've adjusted this too. I must learn more about this and get some better results.

A very pleasing effect, David. I sometimes use the IR option in Elements because it's not particuarly strong or 'ghostly'.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Good subject for it and an atmospheric shot.

I wish I knew more about IR photography having been bowled over by some of the stunning images I've seen from other photographers. I really like this series you've done David; I take it the white grass is due to the IR filter and it hasn't snowed recently around Sheffield?

Andrew: You say you use Elements to try IR sometimes - can this be done in Photoshop? I'm probably one of the least knowledgeable PUF members about some of the less well known features of PS.

This is a classy act. Love the use of IR in film. Never been brave enough. Again, a beautiful ethereal result that looks outside of this time and belonging elsewhere in an alternative dreamlike world.

Great Picture. Has that something about when everything 'fits' and becomes one.

Best wishes
