Magnificence

Photo Information
The scenery, not the photograph.

There must be many beautiful places on earth, but this one takes some beating. The Lake District, in the High Street range of mountains.

Hi Tim, this is on the walk toward Riggendale Ridge, starting from the small public car park at Mardale Head, Haweswater. There are two routes up (left and right), I took the right turn from the car park and this view greeted me as I came out of the wooded area and headed over the lower hills towards the climb proper. I picked the wrong route, there were 60mph winds in my face all the way up and I could barely put one foot in front of the other! You wouldn't believe it from this photo but that's what it was like further up!

Best wishes
David
