Devon Belle at Ropley

by StephenHampshire

Is this the Watercress Belle? or the Devon Belle? West Country pacific 34007 "Wadebridge" on it's last Belle for many years roars through Ropley. It will shortly be withdrawn for a major overhaul and is not likely to be back in service for 8 or 9 years. In celebration it was run all day with the Devon Belle headboard and kept this for the evening Watercress Belle service. K3, Sigma 18-35 f1.8 at 8000 ISO to keep the shutter speed up

I totally agree and excellent subject, terrific colours especially if the EXIF is correct 7.30pm, wow.

I like it a lot. I got my only pictures of this engine, called Wadebridge, on my one and only visit to the Mid Hants railway a few years ago.

David and David, the exif is correct, I used a couple of portable floods to give the station lighting a bit of a boost- unfortunately I did not have gels big enough for these lights so the colour balance was bit tricky to get right.
