Seaside Steamer

Photo Information
The comments on Cliff-P's picture, about yesterdays weather reminded me of this shot I took in 2009 when Ex-LMS No.6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' was taking the same trip along the North Wales coast.

This was shot in lovely sunshine near Penmaenmawr, from the cycle path at the side of the A55.

Steam watchers will know this engine has gone from "Crimson Lake" to black to green in recent years.

Thanks Cliff, Adrian & Phil for your kind comments.

I am rather fond of North Wales for the photographic possibilities. The coast railway and Conwy, Llandudno & Anglesey all spring to mind.

I've only just noticed this one, that's a fine location and a beautiful shot of the Duchess in Crimson Lake livery. I'm hoping to make a couple of trips to photograph the NWCE this year, just North of Mostyn at a spot I know on the A548. Probably stop at Petrol Heads cafe on the way if I venture out on the Ducati.
