Former LMS/British Rail Class 8 heavy freight loco 48151 is now one of a fleet of steam engines used on mailine express train charters. Designed to haul heavy slow moving freight trains its now been 'tuned' to run up to 50mph on heritage steam charters. Here its powering up the Long Drag to Ais Gill summit on the Settle and Carlisle Railway at Garsdale on Saturday..

Great sense of speed here, which is strange when you consider the work they used to do. Great picture, well caught.
