Well it is different,

Now if you had done a real closeup you could have shown the fleas as well.

I thought It was crocodiles that had ticks (shame on me)... Nice shot though I may have tried to get all of the hedgehog in frame .. thats the first one I have seen this year

Pentax K7 and K5 and several black tubey things with magnifying glass in that twist around and move in and out - to be honest I am not sure exactly what I have. Will list the proper names one day..

I would have photographed the whole of the hedgehog, but time was TICKING away!! (TICKING - got it? Oh well, sorry)
