Lost a lot of my processed photos recently so re doing them making a better job of it this time i think, just coming up to my first year of owning a dslr , this one of my favourites of the year never got him with a fish though darn it, always next year and most painful to get just like to say enjoyed this forum very much and everybodys photos and gained so much info of it ,being a chap of few words long post for me

Mastererly capture how on earth do you do it. Even with a 300mm lens you must have been fairly close to get a result like that. You must have a perfect place to sit and wait.

camouflage , patience and more patience and being able to sit in an uncomfortable position and quiet for hours and so much fun, NOT .but worth it i think and a privilege to watch this little chap fish every time he caught a fish he went to a perch that was blocked by nettles

Lovely shot and I know just what it takes! Some days it's more than worth the wait to watch this most beautiful of birds.
