Go for main engine start

5 matches, many many times, this one turned out to be the most popular shape and picture (maybe because it's a bit like a flower .... who knows?) ... yes it is meant to be this way up.
I needed 5 matches because I only lit one and let the others ignite from that, giving me a chance to capture it.

Love this kind of shot. Half the fun is in the experimentation..... and the lack of control as fire/smoke does what it wants to. Great inspiring shot..... think I may have to turn off the detector system and have some fun.

Interesting how the image came about, really works for me,great colours,well caught, yes certainly looks like a flaming flower. Lovely image.
