A reminiscence of autumn's aurora fests
by Jokke
had a modest frost (-26 degrees C),
almost full moon AND nice northern
lights above snowy forests, when my
wife and I were returning from a sauna visit at our friends. I stopped my car many times to admire
the lights. I had my camera gear with me but NO tripod. So, I tried
to take pictures handheld (3-5 sec
at ISO 1600), but at home I had to
delete the pictures from the computer because of too many multiplied stars. Pity; colours were nice, auroras modestly nice,
but one's got to have some demands
of quality.
That's why I attach one of my former shots to northerndelight you, NOT to make you green with envy (you see, there's some violet
tone between green, too ).
