but that's not quite right - as I think it's actually a Green-veined White (Artogeia napi). Chanced upon whilst by a lake in the Morhiban, Brittany and shot using a Sigma 100-300mm F4 APO DG, as I had no time to switch to macro and, in any case, the butteflies in general were to active to get close to that day.

With apologies to the singer Donovan (if your'e old enough to remember him like me)for using (and abusing) his song lyric.

It is really nice, Jon. The composition, the sharpness, the DOF and the colours are perfect.
What could you do yet if you have had enough time to switch to macro...
