Chips is a residential apartment building, alongside the Ashton Canal, in New Islington, Manchester, England. Historically part of Ancoats, the building is part of an urban renewal project in east Manchester which has been led by Urban Splash.
Chips consists of eight-stories and was designed by Will Alsop.[1] Tom Bloxham of Urban Splash requested a building away from "mudanity" and came up with Chips with Alsop.[

Is it just me??............you mean people actually want to live in that carbuncle.....it just looks like three shipping containers stacked on top of each other. Christ if that's what passes as Design these days I'm off back to College so I can make loads of money off mugs!!
