Explosion
Photo of the Week by Jokke
Late in the evening on Friday the 5th of August there were the 300-year anniversary celebrations of the battle in Kajaani town in memory of the event when Russians blew up the castle of Kajaani in the middle of Kajaani river during the Great northern war in 1716. This time blowing up didn't happen by exploding the powder storage of the castle but by arranging a pyrotechnic explosion at the ruins of the castle - still a very active and massive event! I took
8 shots within less than 2 seconds and was surprised how well my K-5 II did with it (I had put 3 steps underexpose in advance, of course).
