Tornado and Telegraphs

Photo Information
The Great Central Railway at Loughborough has a gala this weekend where 'new build' steam loco No. 60163 'Tornado' is running.

I captured her at Woodthorpe Bridge (just off A6 on the edge of Loughborough) on her last trip of the day on Saturday 27th March.

My one gripe with preserved lines is that all trains are limited to 25mph. From the direction of the steam, you can probably judge that the prevailing wind is moving faster than the train.

Shot as jpg+RAW on K10D/16-45.

Thank you for the comments John and David.

I am glad I give that illusion John, but it is down to a bit of cropping afterwards to tell the truth.

This is quite a photogenic spot and I am sure they left the telegraph poles in place to enhance the dated ambience.

Regards,
Peter
