The Fishermans' Hour

by Rhoufi

The overhead light illuminated our boat moored at the end of the jetty. The pier was busy with fishermen and a few boats were already pulling out towards the open sea. Others were loading baskets, plastic tubs, lunch boxes and duffle bags. Subdued voices repeated familiar instructions, understood by intonation rather than words. The boats bobbed and chafed against the mooring tyres, and every now and then a slack hawser, dripping wet from a recent droop into the water, would snap taut with a dull zing, sending a string of rain into the air.

Thanks Senn, you're right there wasn't much in the frame and the night was jet black ~ Bernard

Ah, of course! Nice to find another Pentaxian on ePHOTOzine.. we seem to be a very small minority... and yet I cannot imagine why. I've had a K-7 and use a K-5 exclusively and am very happy indeed ~ Bernard

In addition to liking the photo I really like the wording of the information - much like the opening words of a thriller novel, not that I ever read any!
