Retreat
from “Of the Open Sky” by John Ruskin
Retreating clouds sailing east over a ripening Barley field, in the South Hams of Devon, after torrential early summer rains.
Soft and natural tones. Everyting looks real...as it is without pp. LIKEd

I love fields like this - pleasing to the eye, and the lighting is just right
Many thanks for your enthusiasm and generous comments Andy😊 This field is, in my mind, an equivalent of one of James Turrel's 'sky spaces' - a wonderful stage from which to observe theatre of the sky😊

Just had to look James Turrel up! Some interesting work - inspirational!
First came across Turrel's sky space at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in a BBC documentary called Forest, Field and Sky by Dr James Fox, all about land art. Worth seeing if it is on YouTube as it is very thought provoking and fascinating 😊

Sometimes simpler is better. Like!
Many thanks for your kind words 😊 I was in a moment of distillation and subtraction when I got the idea for this.
