Barley... a cloud in sight

Photo Information
Storm cells trundle over the Dartmoor hills late in the golden hour, during a gilding sidelight burst of transient illuminance - from a barley field on Blakemore Hill, Totnes.

Thanks Giulio 😊 I felt like I was stood in one of the prairies in the mid-west of America, with those big summer evening storm clouds that they frequently get😊

Many thanks for your generous comments 😊 It was an awesome experience to be there at that moment. I do hope to see those big American prairie skies one day too😊

Beautiful grass. It might also work well as a high contrast B&W.

Thank you I am fond of black and white thunder cloud photos, but for me this golden burst of light is fundamental to my appreciation of that particular moment

Many thanks for your generous comments 😊 I am rather fond of the opportunities for simple confluences... it seemed that the 'big sky', the light and the barley field made a moment of theatre. It was wonderful to be there at that moment in time😊

Many thanks Malc 😊 I think there are many things in this photograph that I enjoy....

The spiral form made between the higher / nearest clouds seems to hold my attention; the breeze blown barley with it's light and shadows; the juxtaposition of omnipotence and the inviting warmth of the late evening transient tones....

Each person will no doubt see different things in it. If I have made a photograph that leaves questions and revelations then I couldn't ask for more😊
