I stood at the edge of this and heard deep sounds of water presence. I felt very calm and relaxed when I left the scene after the initial gut feeling of unease of standing on the edge. I was surprised that memory diminishes true reactions. I wanted no clear sparkly detailed lines. I wanted a haunted scenario and the viewer should seek a 'what's this?' 'need to make it out' feel. I hand held the camera and then two quickly taken frames. One was blurred to oblivion. This was the other. The black and white print is souless. The scanned 'colour picked up' neg holds a certain something more.
