Slightly un-nerving to look at but a very clever bit of carving to incorporate the hole in the tree. Excellent photo detail even down to the chaps stubble, courtesy of the resident wood worm.

Thanks all for your comments. It was my wife who heard the chicks inside the nest then we saw the parents going in & out.
