Defiant

Photo Information
K10d+DA*50-135 lens. Gateshead's 1960s concrete monstrosity car park and shopping centre is being demolished. It was the setting for a murder scene in the 1970s epic British gangster film 'Get Carter' starring Michael Caine. There was a massive campaign to preserve this building.

Don't ask me. Perhaps it wasn't that massive, just a few articulate individuals who thought the building was 'iconic.' A friend of mine in our camera club is a retired architect and he thinks it's a great building.

David, this would be so great, just a shame that the cross beam in the foreground just ruins it. If you had managed to avoid it I think you would have a really nice image

In a pictorial sense you are correct, the cross beam doesn't measure up to what's considered to be conventional composition. But it's there because this is part of a demolition scene and I deliberately included it to show the various elements of the building that are ebing knocked down.
