A ball of Robin

by 1stEverPentax

Had just finished biining the christmas tree when one of my new resident robins appeared looking for a meal or two.

Used the built in flash for this one to add a little extra light into what is a very gloomy corner, then had to adjust contrast and brightness PP to compensate. This is a 33% crop.

Always amazed at how our North American Robin is an entirely different bird. The flash certainly helped.

Didn't know that...just assumed they were the same bird. Yes, first ever use of the onboard flash in this situation. Didn't help that i was using 300mm focal length of course but wasn't that far away so could get round that.
