Lycoperdon Perlatum

Photo Information
Lycoperdon Perlatum is one of the Puff Balls. These were growing next to a well decayed fallen tree and surrounded by bracken. Approx 30 minutes to temporarily clear the bracken and surrounding dead leaves, set up and approximately level and align the camera, take several shots then return the site to normality. These were approx 6cm tall and 4cm cap diameter. When ripe, spores will be released through a hole at the cap pole.

Nice creamy colour, but should be viewed large to see the sharpness.
