Crassostrea Gigas, Not Optiea LeporinaOptiea Leporina? Side Elevation

Can anyone help me with the identification of this peculiar cup fungi? I believe it to be a fungus fruit body, At first I thought it to be a plastic confectionery carton but when prodding with a stick it felt like fungus. It would appear to be too complex and irregular shape to have been manufactured, if it had been, what purpose would it have served? It was near other obvious but different fungi.

Steve Everitt has kindly identified this as 'Crassostrea Gigas', which is a shell! Not Optiea Leporina! How stupid of me.

All five minute jobs take a minimum of eight hours!
