I came across this little fellow today whilst walking up the path at the RSPB Old Moor Reserve near Barnsley.

Oooh, that's a really nice one, David. Nice focus on the eyes and beak and soft edges around the edge of his body.
I can never resist a robin .... !

Thanks Sally, the 'softness' is due to the lens used, a 40 year old Tamron 300mm Adapt-a-matic. It's not as sharp as modern lenses and is manual focus, so this is about as good as I can get it, but I really like the colours and the effect it produces, the results are different to any other lens I own.
