Saumur chateau

The chateau overlooks the town which is on the River Loire in Anjou. Over the years it has had extensive work done to restore it, including the retaining wall on the right, below the chateau, which collapsed a few years ago.

Taken on the footpath alongside the campsite I think? Lovely photo, always difficult to get the correct light on the chateau,nice colours.

Thank you, Kevin. Yes, it's a good uninterrupted view from the path. You can only really take this view in the morning - I should have been there earlier !
