Photo Information
Florence-Italy. This is a view of Ponte Vecchio from Piazzale Michelangelo. The morning after latest snowfall of Dec. 17th,2010. Pentax camera K20D on monopod. I’ve used five different photos at F8. These have been tonemapped using Photomatix and then processed in Photoshop 7.Lens is 18-55 at 55mm.

what a lovely light over this fantastic city - one thing I know for sure - next time I am there I will drive to this spot - it has a lovely view on the city. I also like the idea of having the snow-covered wall in the foreground but as you worked with a monopod I would have used a higher aperture value to see, if it would have been possible to get the snow in focus as well - but only a minor issue for me in this great picture (and some - perhaps also you - might prefer this version)

I agree with Maria, but wonder why the sahades are so parliament blue.

Shades are blu because I shooted in the morning. This is the reason IMHO. But I'm not sure....I used no filters.Besides this is a winter light.

Hi Axel. Your comment is right. I could use a higher F number to increase DOF...I ha light enough. I'm old Axel!!!
