Flames

Photo Information
The wife decided that she wanted to set fire to something this evening, so I thought it would be an opportunity to experiment and see what exposure times give the most natural looking flames. I think this is too short and the flames look too frozen, but I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve. Get too slow and the flames blur too much and it looks like a gas fire!

Are there any flame experts out there? What exposure times would you recommend, and why?

I really like it, well captured.

"Flame expert..." is that current slang for arsonist?
