Fishchowters' Lane

Fishchowters' Lane, also known as Fishcheaters' Lane. The ancient 'green lane' was so named because fishermen brought their catches this way to avoid a toll levied at the quays in Totnes.

Thanks very much - I like to make the occasional picture that hopefully leaves questions for the viewer - rather than provide all the answers
