Giulio land! What a wonderful landscape.

I'm not sure that the composition is all it could be, however. That large area of green and the 50-50 horizontal division are a bit clumsy, but that's just me.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Very nice, lovely colours, but I think I might have tried to avoid the patches of bare earth.

Hi Andrew. I was there with Phil and his lovely wife. We spent all day together taking piccies of those places. Sorry Phil if I add this cmt....i hope you don't offend for this caption. Please Phil: may upload collage sent to you on PUG? I'll do after your OK.
About compo: IMHO it was the best place wher to take this picture. On the right lives a small uphill. From that position we could take another good capture but we decided to go down: this was the only coloured area in foreground. However Phil will add something more useful using right words in English...mine is a little bit poor.

I agree with the first line, but there is nothing wrong with a 50-50 split depending on the subject matter. I would argue that it is 66-33 anyway. Again, just an opinion.

I thought that there was probably a good reason, Giulio. I was just itching to walk over the brow of the hill to the right and use that road to lead in the eye, perhaps space the trees out a little more evenly. But, of course, you need to be there to see the true potential. I stand corrected!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I have another image, yet to be 'processed', which is a little tighter. I will put it up for comment in due course.

Guilio - please feel free to upload your collage.

It is a lovely landscape and does have Giulio's 'feel' to it. I would have loved to see this with the viewer taken a few steps to the right, to move the dividing line between yellow and green and also to make sure that winding road was visible in its entirety. Of course, I wasn't there so I may be 100% wrong about this!

I'll upload another one tomorrow taken from the other side of the road. However, I've stuck with the 50:50 horizon for no other reason than I like the clouds!

However, just for the sake of clarity about the original - I do agree with Stan's comment about the bare earth, but I wanted to keep the yellow flowers in the foreground. Maybe I should have just 'cloned in' some more grass to cover the bare earth!

Interesting discussion about a fine piece of photography.

Thx Phil for your OK. Interesting discussion. Andrew's comment is right because from uphill it was possible to look at entire road(snake road as a German photographer told while close to us...)...In that moment another problem was on the road: afew walking peoples....and I repeat "foreground" from hill was poor...Only dried hay whose colour was horrible. However the idea of Snake Road is right....My wife told me that in Gladiator that was the compo....But we were there to take photos and not photocopies I'm a joker sometimes
