It's a very emotive image, with tones of sadness. However, the cottage roof looks in good repair. And is that the edge of a trampoline just visible on the right?

Yes, it is a trampoline. Well spotted! Part of the reason for the conversion was to try to disguise it. I didn't want to crop the image. The place was strewn with children's toys and a little boy darted into the barn just before I took this.

I do like the composition and the conversion to black and White is good - Well taken.
Not everything in life is Black & White, If only it were!
