Love the red filter and infra red combination. Wonderfully atmospheric. The sparse, isolated and clear lines of the buildings and well chosen framing of foreground excess and sky darkness is very Adams as Guilio observes.
"The Latent Image that exists before development is a truly mystical and exciting entity and some subsequent individual photographs can make the spine tingle."

Powerful shot. It's the subtle range of tones in the farm buildings which impresses.
Best wishes,

Thank you for your kind and interesting comments!

This is the first time I try the Ilford SFX 200 film, and I must say I like this film a lot. After scanning the negative on my Epson V750 scanner, I only adjusted curves for contrast and added sharpening. No other PP.

Ilford SFX 200 has a sensitivity up till 750nm, so if one uses a dedicated infrared filter (for example a filter blocking everything below 715nm), one can achieve a strictly infrared image. When using a no 25 red filter, one gets black and white with a deeper contrast and possibly a touch of infrared. The film is also sharp enough, and much easier to use than "real" infrared film (Rollei still produce infrared film).

When exploring this kind of black and white, obviously the work of the master Ansel Adams is a huge inspiration

Best wishes
