WOW, Terry, now I am absolutely jelous of these shots . Why on earth can't I get a decent shot of birds in flight or with wings flapping like this one? What an elegant looking pose of the bird. I wish I had one in my collection.

You can tell how envious I am from the moans and grumbles can't you?

What shutter speed did you use to capture this one? And how did you track the focus? Was it left on AF.C or you locked on AF.S and then snapped it?
Was the bird perched and about to fly or it was flying and about to perch there?
AAhhh so many questions, you can tell that my mind is boggling now can't you
