Great grey owl

Taken today at Marwell Zoo, with K-3 and DA300. A slight crop apart, this is straight from the camera, I shot wide open (f4) to minimise depth of field and, hopefully, isolate the owl from its aviary bars. I also used spot metering so that the owl was reasonably well exposed while much of the background clutter evaporated in the darkness. I'd welcome any feedback, processing suggestions, interesting recipes etc etc...

I simply don't know enough about photographing these creatures to offer constructive advice or criticism I'm afraid, but to my eye you've caught a piece of his/her character, which is always a very good thing...
