Owl native to Scandinavia across Siberia to Sakhalin, Alaska, Canada and parts of NW USA.

Great capture ! Pretty detailed shot. 170 mm focal length. It must have been relatively close then.

Wow that is a cracker - really well done. Have you tried cloning out the green highlight in the top right to make the background totally black? The shot is marvellous nonetheless...
