K3 & DA*300

A VERY rare visitor to the garden and they seldom settle! I would not have obtained this shot with a shorter lens, I got within about 10 feet before it saw me and left.

A super-sharp close-up of a timid subject. Really well taken.

Nice one. I was watching one of these patrolling his pond recently. As you say, it didn't land anywhere and all I got was a panned blurr
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

You did well to capture such a sharp image. They are frustratingly restless and active!

Again have only seen a couple of Dragonflies in the garden this year which is very strange. Great capture

The Autumn issue of the RSPB magazine has just come through the letterbox. It has a couple of pages of wildlife photos sent in by people (members?). I reckon that this photo would have a very good chance of winning a prize.
