Decentralization in the Electric Age

Space & time lose most of their ancient meaning, concentrations of power, wherever they are found, begin to disintegrate under the decentralizing force of electric speed, and practically everyone is reduced to the condition of hunter/gatherer while clinging to their tribes for security and identity. (Paranthetically, please note the huge proliferation of SUV's--the vehicle of choice for neo-hunters/gatherers because it suits their self-image.)
