I prefer the colour version. I think the B&W is a good image but it says autumn/winter to me, the shadow on the road looks wet like its an after rain shot.

I like both shots. It shows what it's all about i.e. the difference between the feel of B+W and colour shots. This is a very interesting study of moods felt that change with each rendition. The photographs themselves. Both are a joy with light just right. Great placement of your feet. Planted perfectly at that perfect spot. The road is centralised and the edges are uniform...and then you get that sweep into imagination land.
