The fiery interiors "peer" out of their shells like aliens emerging from their cocoons. So the sidelighting works really well.

Thank you both. This was taken in what I suppose you'd call the golden hour with the sunlight almost horizontal in the evening. It's also deliberately underexposed to ensure the cobwebs from money spiders are not lost.
