My Ninth Funeral

I was quite surprised when the local paper dropped through the letterbox. This was my ninth funeral I have covered. One of the mayor's bodyguard who was the photographer for the Advertiser from the sixties until he retired said I done him (Frankie ) proud.

Thanks for taking time to comment Andy. Unfortunately I had to dash off to Newcastle to take may daughter for a hospital appointment, I left a few minutes after this photo was taken. I was surprised to see the photo as I did not submit it to the paper. It was done by the secretary of the rifles, it just happened the reporter was visiting his office to do another item and he was given some of the photos, he then had to find the story.
