Galloping Galatea

Photo Information
The Jubilee Class loco Galatea hauled a tourist charter train from York to Carlisle on Saturday. The train was called The Hadrian because it ran from Tyneside to Carlisle via the Tyne Valley line - following the route of Hadrian's Wall.
Here its charging through Durham station at high speed, and from the sound of the exhaust on full regulator.

A wonderful sight, David. You made the most of that lovely sunshine.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Wouldn't it be nice to see a uniform maroon rake behind it! A beauty!
