Dog (Pentax Q)
by MattMatic
This has been through a workflow:
1. Developed in Lightroom from RAW DNG file
2. Working mask generated with Topaz ReMask 3
3. Used Photoshop tools to refine mask
4. Applied Photoshop Lens Blur for background
5. A touch of Topaz Adjust
6. Resize for web
Yes, there's a few little mask errors here and there that could be improved on, but I'm short of time
Honestly, I'm astonished with what I can get out of this little beastie! Its small size is definitely an advantage for these type of shots (actually a 'grab shot')
Enjoy large
In terms of image quality, the K-5 will trump the Q (of course), but the Q is stupidly portable. Carry the Q for a while and the K-5 + DA*16-50 feels like a lead brick
But the Q is just an incredible amount of fun, with almost the same UI as the K-5 etc. And, because it's so small and quiet it opens up other image possibilities that just cannot be done with a dSLR
I just wanted to show with this image what can be achieved from this little gem
You need both
