Undergrowth crawl - gotcha!

by Taynuiltpixels

This dipper is a resident on the River Nant - I see it most days but definitely a wild bird - not tack sharp but my first keeper with my new lens, so the crawl through the undergrowth was worth it.

The reflection in this photo takes it from a good photo to an extraordinary piece of photography!

Brilliant

Thanks for your comments everyone, re the reflections - I had not really noticed them - but that's the beauty of showing photos and folks noticing things with their own eye. The Nant is sometimes very low and still in the summer and this little chap can be seen creating bow waves as it swims under the water feeding on caddis etc - so I hope to get some actions shots later in the year - he'll certainly be featuring again on PU!

Great shot of the dipper, but my eye keeps being drawn to the bottom left corner

Malc - I am always looking to learn - what is it about the BLH? - a distraction? - I cropped it like this leaving in some of the bokeh from the grass in front of me to create a "feeling" of having stalked this shot - do you think it would better without that blur? - just interested to know.
