Hastings Diesel
by GlynM
It was nostalgic to see this diesel set as the front motor coach is the only surviving coach that had been used, albeit only for a short while, as part of a 3 coach "Tadpole" set that used to run between Reading and Tonbridge. As a youngster I used to live in Earley, just outside Reading, and this heritage diesel set brought back memories of the wonderful sound of the Tunbridge Tadpoles. However the Tadpoles I remember were never as shiny and clean as this preserved set .
