Broken Tree

OK, so I would like some advice on this one as I cannot get my head around the composition. I like the colours and the general scene but it's not right. Any offers?
Shot as evening drew near - I was waiting for sunset colours, but it clouded over and started to snow a bit.

What would you do with it Jim? I think the original composition was not right so I'll have to go back to the location and re-shoot it.

That's really good David,
I agree with Jim about the tree though it does draw the eye away to the bottom right.
Aside from that I think this is one of my favourite shots of yours. You're improving all the time.

I cropped it to a semi pano with equal parts water and sky which works pretty well to my untrained eye

I think it's a stunning shot which would stand on its own without the tree if you crop the water at the bottom ........ as Jim suggests

I agree with the others. This is a great shot with beautiful colours and lights. Your main subject is the hill side and the composition doesn't need the tree in the forground IMHO. A crop could help it.

amazing picture with such good usage of light and colors (and as others already sad - I also think that cropping the tree would make it even better)

Right words!!!This is a wonderful capture....and tree is like a window that help our arms to stay and to keep our head in the right position so eyes can admire this EDEN. Do you like my poetry????
