Aysgarth Falls
It looks like a magical landscape. I like the branch across top.
Also very good processing - it feels like you can hear the roar of the water here.

Yes, a very dynamic photo, with the strong frame of the branch and a good feeling of movement from the water. The b and w conversion allows the viewer to concentrate on the interesting textures ad shapes in the photo

I have a number of shots taken from virtually the same position in the summer and that branch when covered in leaves was a major issue - now it is an asset.

The branch is the compositional clincher for me taking this superb landscape into an even higher dimension.

Tomas Hart Benton armed with a camera would have been proud of a similar result.
Thanks for the Tomas Hart Benton reference Tony... Hadn't come across his stuff before... Had a good look at it... Super flowing energy lines... Really unusual... Must print some more stuff on aluminium as you say... It tends to be quite expensive to do via third party printers here, but always like the deep tones of the results...

Thanks very much for this... Yes... I know what you mean... Spot metering... Always done it... Look at a scene, work out by sight what looks like might be the mid point exposure wise, and meter off it... Prefer it to asking the camera to take an average... Just feel more personally connected...

Agreed, this frames it and takes the eye into the falls.
